3.As millions of people move indoors to curb the spread of the coronavirus, the World Health Organization suggested that governments should restrict access to alcohol during lockdowns.
Drinking alcohol can affect peoples' immune systems and make them more vulnerable to the bad health effects of COVID-19,the disease caused by the coronavirus, according to WHO.Alcohol use is also associated with diseases and mental health disorders that can make a person more likely to contract COVID-19.
"At times of lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic, alcohol consumption can worsen the health vulnerability,risk-taking behaviours, mental health issues and violence," WHO noted in a press release.
The organization encouraged governments to "enforce measures which limit alcohol consumption."
In the US,alcohol sales increased 55% over a one-week span last month, according to market research firm Nielsen.
Excessive drinking can cause alcohol poisoning and increase the risk of violence among intimate partners.
WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned earlier this month that stay-at-home orders and self-quarantining will likely lead to more home violence.
"Women in abusive relationships are more likely to be exposed to violence,as are their children,as family members spend more time in close contact, and families cope with additional stress and potential economic or job losses," Tedros said.
The guidance issued last week came from WHO's European regional entity. The area has the highest alcohol intake in the world, and roughly 1 million deaths are caused by alcohol every year there.
"Alcohol is consumed in excessive quantities in the European Region, and leaves too many victims.During the COVID-19 pandemic,we should really ask ourselves what risks we are taking in leaving people under lockdown in their homes with a substance that is harmful both in terms of their health and the effects of their behaviour on others, including violence," Carin Ferreira-Borges,the program manager for the region's alcohol and illicit drugs program, said in a statement.

A.It encouraged the governments to prevent people from going out.
B.It encouraged the governments to tell people to keep social distance.
C.It encouraged the governments to close the schools.

A.Drinking more alcohol will affect peoples' immune systems.

D.Drinking more alcohol can cause poisoning.

4.Be it sugar or social media, the response in our brain is the same:It produces a "feel-good" chemical called dopamine. It first brings about pleasure?but it doesn't last very long.It is then followed by pain so that we have to search for the pleasurable things again.
"This cycle of pleasure and pain made sense in the time of early humans ? when we had to constantly search for our basic needs-food,water,shelter," says Dr.Anna Lembke,a Stanford Medical School researcher. "But our brains weren't adjusted to put out the 'fire of dopamine? caused by pleasurable things that are so easily available in modern life."
In addition, when we're repeatedly exposed to pleasure-producing things?we're not able to take joy in the same rewards.Instead,we need stronger and stronger stimulus(刺激)just to feel good.Otherwise?the cycle will lead us to anxiety?depression and many other problems.
"This is a universal problem——not one limited to those struggling with the disease of addiction. If we want to stay mentally healthy,we must rethink how to break the cycle in a dopamine-overloaded world," says Lembke.
Her suggestions for the addicts?
Take a 30-day break from anything that we rely on for pleasure. This doesn't mean going cold turkey forever. But this first month is key to breaking the pleasure-pain cycle and it's a lot easier to cut out an addictive behavior entirely at first. Then re-introduce the pleasurable things little by little?like just a few bites of ice cream at a time or just one hour online a night.
Another strategy is to create physical distance between us and our addiction. That could mean just removing the addictive thing from our personal space. For someone who's addicted to video games, that could mean a separate laptop for work and one for play.
"In a time of abundance?we have to strike a pleasure-pain balance?which means intentionally avoiding pleasure and seeking the kind of purposeful pain that keeps us healthy, such as exercise," Lembke says. "By doing so,we will reset reward pathways and eventually be a lot happier. It's not easy?but it's well worth doing in the long term."

5. Do you have days when you stare into the mirror and can't help but feel like something is missing? It's reminding you to fully maximize your potential. In other words,it's telling you to become the best version of yourself. (1)
To help you get started,we've listed four tips below.
(2)
It's quite understandable that, because of our nature as human beings,to a certain extent, people's opinions about us influence how we see ourselves.Choose not to care about what others think or say.Otherwise, you'll be held back from performing those activities that draw you closer to your goals.
Try new things.
Try to explore new opportunities because only then can you be able to discover yourself and figure out what the best version of yourself might be.This allows you to work towards it. (3)Think of failure as a lesson that teaches you what not to do next time you find yourself in such a situation.
Surround yourself with a good circle.
(4)You wish to one day live a successful life, but if you're surrounded by people with negative emotions,it is highly doubtful that you will get to attain that goal because the people around you are going to keep holding you down.
Quit Procrastinating (拖延).
Don't give opportunities for the words, "I would do it later" and "it can wait" to pop up in your head.Treat every task given to you as a top priority. When you choose to embrace procrastination, you create room for laziness, which results in unproductivity. (5)
A.Also,don't be scared to fail.
