Posted on 15 November，2021 by Ken，Yunnan I had a hair- raising moment while I was trail（小径） walking last month.I was over-confident，walking carelessly and not paying attention to the slippery path.（It had rain heavily the day before.）Suddenly，I slipped and lost my balance.Below，there was a ravine- it was a long way downhill.I grabbed a tree branch fast and held on for dear life.Luckily，the instructor（教练） helped me swing myself back onto the trail.I was so relieved that I gave him a huge hug.
That happened while I was taking part in a five-day course in a mountain near our cjye.aiy.It was one of several projects that Outward Bound School runs for young people.Each day I did something new and exciting like climbing ropes.I was nervous at first because I had not climbed so high before，but the instructor encouraged me to try my best.As I climbed，I got less nervous and more determined.It was an unforgettable moment when I finally reached the top.
At night，we went camping on the wood.It was thrilling to be living on our own.The campsite，near a narrow stream had no electricity or tap water.We learnt about pitching tents and building
campfires.
On the last day，my parents came to pick me up.I talked nonstop while I was giving them a tour of the school.My dad smiled warmly at me and said， "We are proud of you，Ken!"
