I feel greatly honored to be here to tell you something about Chinese banquet customs. Firstly， banquets are usually held in private rooms in restaurants which have been reserved for the purpose. Guests， who have been invited， will be met at the door on the day when the banquet is held. Secondly， while at banquets， guests don't begin to eat until the host raises his chopsticks.
Drinking also takes an important place during a Chinese banquet. Banquets always begin with a toast. Finally， when the last dish is finished， the banquet has officially ended. Generally， the host will say good-bye to everyone at the door and stay longer to pay the bill.
