Recently the topic of green travel has been widely debated which has aroused public attention.
In the past few decades， the increase of private cars has brought more and more serious air pollution and traffic jams in Chongqing， especially in the rush hour. As a consequence， it's high time to promote the green travel at present.
Our city government has taken leading roles to enhance public awareness of participation in green travel. Convenient public traffic system is developed with more underground and light rail lines under construction. Vehicles powered by electricity are encouraged to be put into use.
In my opinion， if we are near to the destination， we have an alternative to go there on foot or by bicycle. If we are far away from it， we may choose public transportation， which is fast and convenient. All in all， through green travel we can not only protect the environment by saving resources but also have a healthy life style.
