    With the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games behind us，the 19-year-old skier（滑雪运动员）Eileen Gu bagged two gold medals（金牌）and one silver（银牌），which made her one of the most shining superstars this year.
    Born to an American father and a Chinese mother，Gu decided to compete for China in Beijing Winter Olympics and she took pride in it.In August，2019，she won her first gold medal for China at the Australia New Zealand Cup.Her power continued to grow in World Championships in March 2021.
    People say she is talented.But Gu says that talent takes up just a little of her wins.It is her hard work that truly matters.While going to school in San Francisco，Gu could only practice on weekends.She spent eight hours going to the ski hill and back，doing her homework on the way and making full use of her time at the hill to practice skiing.
    She said she was crazy about skiing because it gives her freedom.It also gives her a strong feeling of satisfaction，especially when she perfectly controls her body and does tricks that others cannot do.
    "Of course I want to win medals and even golds in the game，" Gu said. "But for me what's more important is to bring out the best in me，enjoy the game and love the sport."
    Gu hopes that her action can be an inspiration to young girls，saying "I wanted to introduce snow sports and free skiing to Chinese people，especially to the youth and girls...If I can just change one young girl's life and help her break her boundary（界限），then the decision was worth it. "
