      The manager of a office in Shelford was a hard-working man he never arrived late and never left early．He was honestly，well-dressed and clever．But one very important quality in men of good position he had never learned about，and that quality was politeness．The word "Please" and "Thank you" formed no part of its conversation．If he had spoken gently，the work of the office would have done well，for the staff was a good one．But one after other they left and no one could explain to him how they did not stay．So he never understood the cause，without know how impolite he was．
