• 22．September 19th is National Science Popularization Day（全国科普日）.As a science lover，I always like to find out some information not only about the modern science and technology，but also about those successful scientists in our country.Last year，there was an interview about 13 famous scientists on that day，including Dr.Yuan Longping.Though he is one of China's most famous scientists，he never treats himself differently.Instead，he always treats himself as a common farmer.In the 1950s，Chinese farmers could produce only fifty million tons of rice.At that time，many people died of hunger.Dr，Yuan didn't want the future generation（未来的一代）to end up like this.He realized that increasing the speed of growing rice was the most important thing they should do.However，it was impossible for Dr.Yuan to solve this problem easily.It took him thousands of days and nights to work on farms and do research.Thanks to his knowledge about growing rice，now Chinese farmers can produce the most rice in the world.He even shared the knowledge with other countries.
